Manfield House

Manfield House is a country cottage situated on 60 acres of bush and beautiful green paddocks. Currently sheep are responsible for keeping the grass down!

It is fully furnished with good quality furniture and is able to accommodate one or two adult couples. The kitchen is well equipped and you are likely to be greeted by the aroma of freshly baked bread on arrival. The wood fired stove is a lovely way to cook and keep warm. Outside a fantastic wood fired pizza oven provides a lovely alternative cooking option. There is also a large reverse cycle heater in the property for cooler nights.

Both bedrooms have comfortable queen size beds dressed with beautiful linen. There are TVs in both bedrooms and a large flat screen in the lounge. Wrap around verandahs make it easy to enjoy the outdoors, maybe with a glass of wine or two, and looking at the beautiful views of both country and ocean. You cannot see another house enabling complete "get away from it all" privacy.

Bruny Island really is the greatest place to relax, unwind and enjoy the change from the bustle of every day life. Enjoy some great walks and wild life - wallabies, parrots, possums, wedge tail eagles, etc

Manfield House is situated on the south side of Bruny Island and is about 30 minutes drive from the ferry. Directions and access will be given at completion of booking.

  • Meat from the butcher at Snug
  • Fruit & vegetables from the roadside stalls on the way to the ferry

As there is no pharmacy on the island you will need to bring any medications needed for the duration of your stay. There is a doctor clinic twice a week.
