Bruny Island

Manfield

Manfield House is situated on 60 acres of forest and farmland between Bruny's towns of Alonnah and Lunawanna. It is a remote area and is accessed by a gravel road. If you are using a hire car, check that use on unsealed roads is allowed. Specific directions will be forwarded with booking confirmation.

Venture down the lane at dawn or dusk and you may see wildlife such as wallabies and kangaroos, bandicoots and possums. The birdlife is profuse and includes wedgetail eagles, robins, kookaburras, parrots and the rare forty-spotted pardalote. You may even be welcomed home at night by a sleepy owl at the gate.
